I told Luna she could stay at my place if her parents were being assholes. I fucked up and scared her off.

This was at the beginning of the month. I don't know where she is now.

It sounds like you scared her pretty badly.

I think its obvious at this point that you should apologize.
Apologies are different for everyone, but its definitely a must in the situation.

[Lucy didn't want to. She didn't want to and that was likely just as much of the reason she couldn't find Luna as looking in the wrong places was.]

Apologizing is a lot more than saying your sorry and promising not to do it again.

Its acknowledging and owning up to what you did wrong and explaining what you will do to not repeat your mistake.

Kath has o many questions right now. Lucy has literally dropped at least two bombs on her.

I know for a fact that people can change themselves.
Even in the face of long-running problems.

But if you feel that you can't currently make that with some level of confidence, I think you should at least try to talk to her about what happened.

[The reply takes a long time to arrive; Lucy had a lot to think about. A lot of things she didn't want to think about, and several uncomfortable concepts. She...well. Wasn't entirely happy with who she was, no. But it was consistent. It was constant. It was comforting in a warped way.

If she changed, like Katherine said, she didn't know what would happen. Who she'd be. It was strange, an unknown, frightening.

Lucy didn't want to think about that. Anything else, not that. Even talking to Luna.]

I think it might be sort of obvious at this point but I feel the need to ask.

[ She's pretty sure they both know what her question is. For some reason she's dreading the answer, she's not fully sure why. Maybe its because she's recalling her short chat with the girl earlier this month and has an idea of what she's been through. Maybe its because there's now another branch to her family that she's not exactly sure how to feel about. Or maybe its because she knows who her father is. ]

[It wasn't as flippant as it sounded, though it certainly looked that way. Lucy had meant to tell Luna that Katherine was around. A warning, just sharing a name, something. She kept putting it off and putting it off, and then they weren't in the same house anymore. Then this city brought them all back together.

She still meant to, if she ever got the chance.]
